My education and experience
I am a dedicated dog trainer who pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, a background that significantly enhances my understanding of canine behavior and learning processes. My passion for dogs has been a lifelong journey, beginning in my childhood and taking a more defined shape when I received my own dog on my 21st birthday while in college. This milestone marked the beginning of a profound exploration into the world of canine companionship and training.
Over the years, my involvement in dog clubs, particularly those focusing on Schutzhund, has honed my skills in proper dog obedience, shaping my approach to training with a focus on operant conditioning, respect, and mutual understanding between dogs and their owners. About five years ago, I ventured into breeding dogs, a decision that expanded my knowledge and experience exponentially. Through breeding, I have had the privilege of bringing over 50 beautiful, healthy puppies into the world, each of whom has been a testament to the dedication and care I invest in my work.
Assisting new owners in the journey of raising their puppies has been an integral part of my service, offering guidance and support in both behavioral and health-related issues. My experience spans the entire spectrum of canine development, from witnessing the miracle of birth to observing puppies grow, play, learn, and develop into well-adjusted adult dogs.
My comprehensive background in Psychology, coupled with years of hands-on experience in dog breeding and obedience training, positions me uniquely to understand and address a wide range of canine behavior. Whether you're facing challenges with a new puppy or seeking to refine your adult dog's obedience, my expertise is at your service, ready to help you and your dog achieve harmony and mutual understanding.
My journey didnt come without its challenges
My journey into the world of dog training, particularly with Rottweilers, was not without its challenges. At 21, I quickly realized the immense amount of work and skill required to properly train a dog of such a confident, intelligent, and instinctually protective nature. Each dog's distinct personality, coupled with the necessity for early socialization and training, highlighted how traits that are admirable can become issues without the right guidance. This personal experience taught me how an untrained dog can impact the joy and quality of life for both the pet and its owner.
Driven by my experiences and the decision to breed Rottweilers, I made a commitment: to not only provide healthy, beautiful puppies but also to equip their new owners with the knowledge and support needed to avoid the pitfalls I encountered. This commitment extended to guiding every customer through their puppy's life journey, ensuring they have the support needed for a fulfilling companionship.
Now, with years of accumulated knowledge and firsthand experience, my goal has expanded to assisting other dog owners facing similar challenges. My approach is rooted in understanding, patience, and the tailored guidance that comes from knowing each dog's unique needs and potential.
